SUPPORT ACT LIMITED PRESENTS: On this very cold Friday night, the Enmore theatre pulled out all its ground floor seats for this 'standing room' only show. From 7pm; fans aged between 20-60; started to pour into the 'art deco' arena. Starring tonight was Cold Chisel'sJimmy Barnes, Phil Small and Ian Moss. The show also featured Rose Tattoo, You Am I, The Screaming Jets, The Radiators, Mark Gable (Choirboys), Dave Tice & Mark Evans, Chris Turner, Lucy DeSoto and Shauna Jensen. Our MC was Glen A Baker… who did a sterling job in hosting the event…. He was never tongue tied and always had something entertaining to say as roadies and grips changed sound gear in-between acts. Dave Tice and AC/DC guitarist Mark Evans were up first, with rafter-shaking songs. Lucy DeSoto and Shauna Jensen followed with crowd pleasing rock ballads. Within the audience, there were expectations emerging from infectious loud rumours that soon we are going to see a history making Cold Chisel reunion. …It came close, but no cigar. Jimmy, Mossy and Phil Small did go through a healthy dose of Cold Chisel classics though. Jimmy Barnes performed his solo hits 'Driving Wheels' 'No Second Prize' and 'Lay down Your Guns'. Then he sang his Chisel belter 'You Got Nothing I Want'. Ian Moss came on to continue the Chisel flow with 'Bow River', he then did 'Georgia On My Mind' and finally Jimmy and Ian relived their finest joint vocal moment together from the Chisel days, singing 'When The War Is Over'. At one point Jimmy kissed the top of Ian's head; indicating that any rifts between them is just now a memory. Mark Gable from the Choirboys was introduced and had the crowd rocking with "Run to Paradise". The Screaming Jetswere up next to be followed by The Radiators belting out their big songs. Interwoven into all this was auctioneer/organiser Marty Clapp whose big imposing figure was hard to miss. Dressed like he was going to the beach; he periodically stopped the show for an auction. One of the items had huge interest - a large Axe, personally signed by Mark 'Chopper' Read. It raised over $2,500! You Am I, was introduced & sang quite a few crowd pleasers. Soon the highlight was reached - Rose Tattoo live on stage… Clearly lead sing Angry Anderson was emotional as he spoke with the audience. The boys yelled out their big songs from 'Bad boy for love' to 'We can't be beaten'. To top their set off, the Tatt's were joined Mick Cocks himself - the fans erupted with great applause.
