Rose Tattoo

Dai Pritchard came into my life sixteen years ago or there a-bouts, Peter was dying and he suggested to me, ‘instructed’ me, to carry on without him so as to keep the name alive, so a replacement needed to be found, knowing that Pete would not want a ‘Pete Wells’ copy to fill the spot, knowing full well that you could never find another Pete, as there will only ever be one, we discussed suitable candidates, I knew that the next player to take the slide part would have to, not only not try to be like Pete but as importantly would have to be his own man.in every respect.
DeMarco had been playing with Billy Thorpe when he was not playing with the Tatt’s and knew that Dai, who was Bill’s second guitar, was a pistol as a conventional guitar player but that he’d only ever fooled around with slide, but on asking the question the answer came back that not only would he be chuffed to play in the band but would relish the opportunity to broaden his already legendary prowess by perfecting a slide players technique and that is exactly what he did, he perfected, as well as anyone could, the art of playing slide.. but to anyone knowing Dai that came as no surprise because that’s who he is! If ya gonna do it don’t fuck around do it the very best you can!
The years have come and gone and we’ve shared some great times, played some amazing gigs and had more than our fair share of laughs along the way, learned to love one another as band mates, as travelling companions, as fellow adventurers and best of all as brothers in arms.
For all of those years when I looked across to where Pete used to stand, there was Dai, David, Dafydd, he’s Welsh, Pritchard, my brother under colours, a best mate, my rock!
And so it is with great sadness that I have to tell you dear friends, you, the bands’ loyal followers, you staunch and strong band of brothers and sisters, that our Dai is moving on to the next part of his life journey, so he must walk a different path, he does so with sadness but with the sound belief that his journey takes him in another direction only so he can fulfil another part of his dream and ‘tho he knows he leaves us saddened he also knows that within our sadness he goes with all our love and our best of wishes for his future because he is so loved.
So, brothers and sisters where do we go from here, what does the future hold? Only time will tell, you’ve always been there for us, a debt that can never be repaid; it is given to each and every one of us that loss is learning, loss leads to growing, it’s an integral part of living and so I say, stay young, grow strong and let the rhythm of life play on,
your brother, Angry.

After 16 years in the Tatts I have decided to move into a new career in mental health.
Those of you that know me well would know that I have been studying full time for the last three and a half years towards achieving this goal, so it was not a quick decision.
I am now working in this industry and finding it both immensely rewarding and challenging and with that comes a responsibility that no longer allows me to be a touring member of the band.
I would like to thank all who have supported me in my time in the Tatts.
To my band mates, you will always remain as some of my closest friends, I love you all dearly, especially Angry who has been very supportive of my journey over these last few years.I wish the band all success in the future.
Cheers, Dai. Dai Pritchard

Rose Tattoo @ Wacken 2021

European Tourdates 2021

We managed to reschedule most of the postponed European dates of the past run. All tickets remain valid. Only Hengelo/March 18 2020 & Lyon/March 25 2020 couldn’t be rescheduled – tickets for both shows will be refunded.

European Tour dates postponed

We are extremely sorry to announce that as a result of the measures in course of COVID-19 we are forced to postpone all Rose Tattoo European Tour dates from Tuesday, March 17th on. That means the shows in Karlstadt (March 14th) and Malmö (March 15th) are still taking place, but Osnabrück, Hengelo, Uden, Strasbourg, London, Paris, Lyon, Zürich, Ulm and Nuremberg are off. We are devastated, but working on possibilities to come back on a later occasion. Stay healthy and strong in those difficult times!

ROSE TATTOO will release “Outlaws“ March 6

Australian hard rock legends ROSE TATTOO will release “Outlaws“, a re-recording of the iconic “Rock N Roll Outlaw” LP, on March 6.

In addition to classics like “Nice Boys (Don’t Play Rock ‘N’ Roll)”, “Rock N’ Roll Outlaw”, “One Of The Boys” and “Bad Boy For Love”, which have etched their way into the music landscape over the last 40-plus years, “Outlaws” includes three bonus tracks from the very early days, songs that were demoed and never made the final cut, those being “love song” “Rosetta”, written back in 1975 by Angry Anderson and Ian Rilens, “Snow Queen” and “Sweet Love Rock and Roll”, penned by Ian Rilens. read more…

Thundermother will support Tatts in Europe – Location upgrade in Nürnberg!

We are happy to present Swedish Rock act Thundermother as support on next coming ROSE TATTOO shows (no Strassbourg!).
